Nayyi Navelli Release Date
Nayyi Navelli will release in cinemas on 16 October 2026. The film is positioned as a Dussehra-season theatrical entertainer, with the makers promoting it as a fantasy family film filled with humour, mystery and larger-than-life action.
Nayyi Navelli Story and Plot
The story introduces Mohini, a picture-perfect new bride who enters the Awasthi family in Meerut. Her arrival seems to bring harmony to a household that was previously full of chaos. Mohini quickly becomes a favourite within the family, but her brother-in-law remains suspicious of her unusual behaviour and extraordinary abilities.
The central mystery revolves around a simple question: is Mohini really a blessing for the family, or is she a daayan in disguise? The trailer suggests that the film gradually moves from everyday family situations into a supernatural fantasy world involving mysterious powers, folklore and a larger battle between good and evil.
Rather than revealing the complete mystery, the promotional material keeps Mohini’s true identity as one of the film’s biggest hooks. The story appears designed to combine domestic comedy with fantasy action and supernatural mythology.

What Makes Nayyi Navelli Interesting?
The biggest attraction is the combination of a familiar Indian family setting with fantasy and supernatural storytelling. Yami Gautam’s Mohini is deliberately presented as a character who can move between warmth, humour, mystery and action. The film also uses Dussehra and Indian folklore as part of its larger fantasy world.
For viewers who enjoy family entertainers with a supernatural twist, Nayyi Navelli could offer a different flavour from conventional horror films. Its trailer suggests that the movie is aiming for a balance of comedy, emotion, fantasy action and mystery rather than straight horror.
Final Verdict
Nayyi Navelli has created curiosity with its unusual premise, Yami Gautam’s fresh avatar and the combination of family comedy with supernatural fantasy. With Balaji Mohan directing, Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma producing, and G. V. Prakash Kumar handling the music, the film has a strong creative team behind it.
The big question remains: Who is Mohini really? The answer will arrive when Nayyi Navelli reaches cinemas on 16 October 2026.
